Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled WFH Google Admin Lead to manage our remote team and oversee our Google Workspace environment. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, security, and optimization of our Google Workspace suite. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Google Workspace administration, exceptional leadership qualities, and a proven track record of managing remote teams effectively. You will be instrumental in defining best practices, implementing new features, and providing top-tier support to our global workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of remote Google Workspace administrators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of Google Workspace services, including Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet, Chat, and Admin Console configurations.
  • Develop and implement Google Workspace policies, security settings, and compliance standards.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of all Google services.
  • Oversee user provisioning, de-provisioning, access management, and group policy enforcement.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and new feature deployments within the Google Workspace ecosystem.
  • Provide advanced technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT teams.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay current with Google Workspace updates, features, and best practices, proactively recommending improvements.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure data protection and adherence to organizational security policies.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Google Workspace Administrator, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Expert-level proficiency in all aspects of Google Workspace administration and security.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, specifically in a remote work setting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Google Apps Script, Python) for automation.
  • Deep understanding of identity management, SSO, and directory synchronization (e.g., Google Cloud Directory Sync).
  • Experience with data migration strategies to and from Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Workspace Administrator Certification.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure AD, AWS).
  • Project management experience, particularly with IT infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
