Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Spa Water Quality Technician with a strong focus on maintenance to join our team in Woodbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to learn and grow in the hospitality and wellness industry, as comprehensive training will be provided. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the pristine condition and safety of all spa water features, including pools, hot tubs, and specialty baths, through diligent monitoring, testing, and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily water quality testing for pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other relevant parameters.
- Perform chemical adjustments to maintain optimal water balance and sanitation levels.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain filtration systems, pumps, and other related spa equipment.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of all testing results, chemical additions, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and operational standards and regulations.
- Report any significant equipment issues or water quality deviations to management promptly.
- Assist with other spa facility maintenance tasks as needed.
- Participate actively in all provided training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn about spa equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Physical ability to lift moderate weights, stand for extended periods, and work in varied environmental conditions (e.g., around water, chemicals).
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or technical role (even if unrelated to spas).
- Certification in pool/spa operation (e.g., CPO, AFO) is an asset, but not required as training will be provided.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to water facilities.
