Job Description

This entry-level position is designed to provide comprehensive training in logistics coordination, dispatch operations, and customer service. You will work alongside experienced dispatchers, gaining hands-on experience in managing routes, communicating with drivers, and ensuring timely deliveries. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior dispatchers in managing daily route schedules and driver assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers regarding delivery updates, special instructions, and unforeseen issues.
  • Monitor the status of deliveries and collections, identifying potential delays and proposing solutions.
  • Accurately record and update delivery information in our tracking systems.
  • Prepare daily reports on driver performance and delivery metrics.
  • Respond to inquiries from drivers and internal departments, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Learn to utilize dispatch software and communication tools efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
