Job Description
Join the Home Instead team in Reno, NV, as a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to make a meaningful difference in their community. We are offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus for new hires ready to provide essential support and companionship to our senior clients in their local neighborhoods. As a Caregiver, you will assist with daily living activities, provide personal care, and offer companionship, helping seniors maintain their independence and quality of life. No prior professional experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying living areas.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Run errands, such as grocery shopping or pharmacy visits.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisors.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for clients.
Required Skills
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in a caregiving role (personal or professional)
