Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented high school student looking for an exciting opportunity to gain valuable retail experience? Target in New Port Richey is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as an Inventory Tagger. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our store’s inventory is accurately managed, helping us provide our guests with the products they love. This is an excellent entry-level position for someone eager to learn the ins and outs of retail operations and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming merchandise, ensuring accurate counts and condition.
- Efficiently tag, label, and prepare products for placement on sales floor or in storage.
- Organize and maintain stockroom and backroom areas, ensuring cleanliness and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory counts and identify discrepancies as needed.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely, as required.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding inventory status.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school or recently graduated.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment (even volunteer or informal).
- Familiarity with inventory management concepts.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
