Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Gas Driver with a specialized focus on cryogenic operations to join our team in Irvine, CA. This is a critical role responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of liquid oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and other industrial gases to our valued customers. You will operate specialized cryogenic tanker trucks, ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cryogenic product handling, a strong commitment to safety, and a clean driving record. Key Responsibilities
- Operate cryogenic tanker trucks safely and efficiently to deliver industrial gases to various customer sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or malfunctions.
- Load and unload cryogenic products in compliance with all safety protocols, industry standards, and company procedures.
- Verify correct product and quantity for each delivery, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery tickets, and all other required paperwork.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, HAZMAT guidelines, and company safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
- Conduct minor maintenance and troubleshooting on delivery equipment as needed.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Proven experience with cryogenic product handling and delivery.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, HAZMAT requirements, and safe driving practices.
- Ability to operate specialized cryogenic tanker equipment.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience with Airgas or another major industrial gas supplier.
- Familiarity with the Irvine and greater Southern California service area.
