Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Weigh Station Inspector. This crucial role involves ensuring the safety and compliance of vehicles, particularly Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), by conducting weighbridge operations and initial inspections. You will play a vital part in upholding road safety standards and fair transportation practices across the UK. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate weighbridge equipment accurately to measure vehicle weights.
  • Conduct initial visual inspections of vehicles for obvious defects or compliance issues.
  • Record and report vehicle data and inspection findings according to DVSA protocols.
  • Assist senior inspectors with more detailed vehicle examinations and enforcement actions.
  • Interact professionally with drivers, explaining procedures and regulations clearly.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the weigh station equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines and agency policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.

  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and report generation.
