Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team in Eugene, OR. This critical role involves overseeing all contractual aspects of our construction and technology-related projects, from initial negotiation through to close-out. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in legal frameworks, risk management, and contract administration within the construction and/or technology sectors. This position is vital for ensuring compliance, mitigating legal risks, and optimizing contractual performance for large-scale, complex projects. Visa sponsorship is provided for qualified international candidates looking to contribute their expertise in the U.S. construction market.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a wide range of contracts, including client agreements, subcontracts, vendor agreements, and consulting service agreements.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, working closely with project teams, legal counsel, and stakeholders.
- Manage contract changes, variations, claims, and dispute resolution processes effectively.
- Provide expert guidance and interpretation of contract terms and conditions to project managers and other internal teams.
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records and documentation.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance against contractual obligations.
- Support the procurement process by reviewing tenders, proposals, and supplier agreements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role in the construction or technology industry.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and risk management principles.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Construction Management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
- Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CCCM, CFCM).
- Experience with international contracts and cross-border project management.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations in the U.S.
