Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and meticulous Pharmacy Records Clerk to join our team in a 100% remote capacity. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate and confidential patient and prescription records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for data entry, record retrieval, and organizing digital and physical documentation with exceptional accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient and prescription information into pharmacy systems.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
  • Organize, file, and retrieve both digital and physical pharmacy records efficiently.
  • Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with record-related inquiries.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in records, ensuring high data accuracy.
  • Generate reports based on pharmacy data as required.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives for records management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with data entry and record-keeping, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information (HIPAA compliance).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or medical office environment.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management software (e.g., RxConnect, PioneerRx).
  • Understanding of medical terminology and pharmaceutical abbreviations.
