Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Senior Research Scientist to join our dynamic Product Innovation team. In this pivotal role, you will lead research and development efforts to drive the creation of next-generation products that address critical challenges in scientific research and diagnostics. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing complex scientific experiments, analyzing data, and translating findings into tangible product solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our product pipeline, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams from conception to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of novel scientific experiments to explore new technologies and product concepts.
  • Analyze complex experimental data, interpret results, and present findings to internal stakeholders, including R&D, product management, and executive leadership.
  • Drive the innovation pipeline by identifying new scientific opportunities, evaluating their potential, and formulating strategies for product development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, molecular biologists, chemists, and commercial teams, to ensure seamless product development from concept to launch.
  • Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio by generating invention disclosures and supporting patent applications.
  • Stay abreast of scientific literature, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic research directions.
  • Mentor junior scientists and provide technical guidance within the team.

Required Skills

  • Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in scientific research and product development.
  • Proven track record of innovation, evidenced by publications, patents, or successful product launches.
  • Expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation (e.g., statistical analysis, bioinformatics).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to scientific challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing products for life science research, diagnostics, or clinical applications.
  • Proficiency with various laboratory techniques relevant to molecular biology, cell biology, or analytical chemistry.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property processes and patent landscape analysis.
  • Prior experience leading small project teams or mentoring scientific personnel.
