Job Description
Are you a compassionate and dedicated caregiver looking for a rewarding opportunity with premium pay? BrightStar Care of Idaho Falls is seeking professional and reliable Caregivers to provide exceptional care to our clients. This role features 12-hour shifts, offering a consistent schedule and allowing you to maximize your earnings with premium rates. As a Caregiver, you will be a vital part of our clients’ lives, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal care services, maintaining client dignity and privacy.
- Administer medication reminders as per care plan.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying living areas, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
- Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to the nursing supervisor.
- Accurately document care provided and client observations.
- Adhere to all BrightStar Care policies, procedures, and client care plans.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a strong desire to help others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain quickly).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable experience in home care, assisted living, or a similar setting.
- Experience working with clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other chronic conditions.
- High school diploma or GED.
