Job Description
Join the Cambridge Public Library as a Teen Library Aide with a special focus on assisting patrons with Google Books. This entry-level position is perfect for a 17-year-old who enjoys a quiet work environment, has a keen interest in digital resources, and is eager to help others navigate the vast world of online information. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our teen section, assisting with digital resource queries, and ensuring a calm and productive atmosphere for all library visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teen patrons with locating and utilizing Google Books and other online resources.
- Help maintain the organization and tidiness of the teen library section, including shelving and tidying materials.
- Provide basic technical support for library computers and digital devices related to Google Books access.
- Support library staff with various administrative tasks as needed, such as preparing materials or light data entry.
- Ensure a quiet and respectful atmosphere in the teen area.
- Answer general inquiries and direct patrons to appropriate library services or staff members.
- Assist with setting up and tidying quiet study spaces.
