Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and meticulous Sports Gear Tagger to join our dynamic team in Dallas. This role is crucial for ensuring our merchandise is accurately tagged, priced, and ready for display, directly impacting inventory management and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately tag and price a wide variety of sports gear, apparel, and footwear according to company standards and vendor specifications.
- Utilize handheld tagging devices and inventory management systems efficiently.
- Ensure all merchandise is correctly categorized and prepared for placement on the sales floor or in storage.
- Conduct quality checks on tags and products to minimize errors and enhance customer shopping experience.
- Collaborate with inventory and sales teams to prioritize tagging tasks based on new arrivals, promotions, and store needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized tagging station and backroom area.
- Assist with incoming shipments and stockroom organization as needed.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements in tagging and inventory preparation to enhance efficiency.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory systems.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, stockroom operations, or inventory management.
- Familiarity with various sports equipment and apparel brands.
- Experience using handheld scanners or tagging guns.
