Job Description
Develop and optimize new adhesive formulations, focusing on performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. Conduct laboratory experiments, analyze results, and scale up products for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new adhesive products from concept to commercialization.
- Conduct comprehensive research and experimentation with various raw materials and chemistries.
- Optimize existing adhesive formulations for improved performance, cost, and environmental profile.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and sales.
- Perform rigorous testing and analysis of adhesive properties, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain detailed laboratory records and prepare technical reports.
- Stay abreast of new technologies, raw materials, and market trends in the adhesives industry.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong background in polymer chemistry, organic chemistry, or materials science.
- Demonstrated experience in adhesive formulation and testing.
- Proficiency with analytical techniques (e.g., FTIR, DSC, rheology, GPC).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
- Experience with specific adhesive types (e.g., epoxies, urethanes, acrylics, hot melts).
- Knowledge of scale-up processes and manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for adhesives.
