Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apple Operations Expert with a strong focus on Inventory & Logistics to join our team in Morgantown, WV. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in managing the efficient flow of Apple products from our distribution centers to the sales floor, ensuring optimal inventory levels, minimizing shrinkage, and maximizing product availability for our customers. You will leverage your expertise to streamline operational processes, implement best practices, and collaborate closely with sales and leadership teams to meet and exceed operational goals related to Apple products. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of retail inventory and supply chain dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end inventory lifecycle for all Apple products, including receiving, stocking, transfers, and returns.
- Implement and maintain rigorous inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy, prevent loss, and identify discrepancies.
- Utilize inventory management systems to track product movement, analyze data, and generate reports for strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate with logistics partners and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and efficient distribution of Apple merchandise.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconciliations, investigating and resolving any variances promptly.
- Optimize storage solutions and merchandising practices for Apple products to enhance visibility and accessibility.
- Train and support store staff on best practices for Apple product handling, inventory management, and loss prevention.
- Collaborate with sales teams to forecast demand, plan promotions, and ensure adequate stock levels for new product launches and peak seasons.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards related to inventory and logistics operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail inventory management, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience with inventory management software and systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, custom ERPs).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and proactively solve complex operational challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience specifically with Apple products or consumer electronics retail.
- Certifications in inventory management or supply chain (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and techniques in a retail environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small projects or initiatives related to operational improvement.
