Job Description
Are you ready to kickstart a rewarding career in the transportation industry? Schneider National is offering a comprehensive CDL Trainee program designed for individuals with no prior experience. This program provides paid training to help you obtain your Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), followed by guaranteed job placement as a professional truck driver with Schneider. Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in classroom and behind-the-wheel CDL training sessions.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws during training.
- Successfully pass the CDL written and practical exams.
- Upon certification, safely operate Class A commercial vehicles.
- Transport freight on designated routes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and comply with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams.
Required Skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a valid driver's license from your state of residence.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- No recent DUI/DWI convictions or serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and reliability.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience in a physically demanding role.
- Mechanical aptitude or basic vehicle knowledge.
