Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Charity Donation Sorter Auditor to join our Scottsdale team in a casual capacity. This vital role involves meticulously sorting, evaluating, and auditing donated goods to ensure quality standards and proper categorization before they reach our retail floor. You will play a crucial part in maximizing the value of donations, directly contributing to our mission of funding job training and community programs. This is an on-site position requiring physical presence at our donation center.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and sort incoming donations including clothing, household items, electronics, and furniture.
- Carefully inspect donated items for quality, damage, and usability according to established guidelines.
- Categorize and tag items appropriately for retail sale or recycling.
- Identify high-value items or unique donations that require special handling or assessment.
- Audit sorted batches to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality control standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the sorting area.
- Assist with inventory management and movement of goods as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle differences in quality.
