Job Description
Are you passionate about coffee and customer service, but have no prior experience? Join Costa Coffee as a Coffee Shop Team Member in York! We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including expertly crafted coffees
- Deliver exceptional customer service, taking orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including food preparation areas and seating
- Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy
- Assist with stock rotation and replenishment as needed
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive atmosphere
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training provided!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, 'can-do' attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Enthusiasm for coffee and customer service
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of food hygiene practices (training will be provided)
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (beneficial but not essential)
