Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Country House Hotel Porter to join our team in Staunton in the Vale, Nottinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to start or further their career in hospitality within a luxurious country house setting. The role involves providing essential support to our guests and hotel operations, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for everyone. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, ensuring a smooth check-in experience.
- Escort guests to their rooms, providing an overview of hotel amenities and services.
- Assist guests with enquiries, directions, and local information, offering recommendations as appropriate.
- Manage and deliver guest mail, messages, and parcels efficiently.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of public areas, including the lobby, entrances, and corridors.
- Handle guest requests promptly and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Support the housekeeping team with linen and supply movement.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms or event spaces.
- Perform light maintenance duties as required, reporting any major issues.
- Ensure the security of the hotel premises, including monitoring access points and conducting regular patrols.
- Operate hotel vehicles for guest transport or errands, if holding a valid driving license.
- Act as a point of contact for guests throughout their stay, providing a friendly and professional service.
