Job Description
Are you looking for a flexible role that fits around your life? Evri is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Courier Drivers in the Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent area. As a self-employed courier, you’ll have the freedom to manage your own schedule, delivering parcels directly to customers’ doors. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently collect and deliver parcels to customers within designated routes in Hanley and surrounding areas.
- Manage your delivery schedule to ensure timely and accurate parcel distribution.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Evri professionally.
- Safely operate your own vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety guidelines.
- Utilise handheld technology to scan parcels, update delivery statuses, and manage routes.
- Sort and organise parcels efficiently for your daily deliveries.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Access to a reliable vehicle (van or car) with appropriate insurance (including 'Hire & Reward' business use).
- Good geographical knowledge of the Stoke-on-Trent area, particularly Hanley.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry parcels, some of which may be heavy.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or courier role.
- Experience using delivery tracking applications or devices.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
