Job Description
Are you passionate about childcare and looking for flexible work within a vibrant leisure environment? Everyone Active is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Creche Worker to join our team in Mansfield. As a Creche Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for children while their parents/guardians enjoy our gym and leisure facilities. This is a casual position, perfect for someone seeking flexible hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children aged 0-8 years in the creche, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Organise and lead engaging activities, games, and creative play appropriate for various age groups.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and hygienic creche environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's activities and any concerns.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Assist with changing and feeding as required, ensuring individual needs are met.
- Work collaboratively with other creche staff and the wider leisure centre team.
Required Skills
- Proven experience working with children, ideally in a creche, nursery, or similar setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children and adults.
- A patient, calm, and friendly demeanour.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and administer basic first aid (training can be provided).
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Early Years Education, or a related field.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Experience working in a gym or leisure centre creche.
- An understanding of relevant childcare legislation and best practices.
