Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) Support Specialist to join our team in Lubbock, Texas. In this high-demand role, you will be the go-to expert for customers needing assistance with their music production software and hardware. You will provide technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide users through various aspects of their DAW setup. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive technical support for a wide range of Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) including, but not limited to, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Cubase, and Studio One.
- Diagnose and resolve software installation issues, compatibility conflicts, and performance bottlenecks.
- Assist customers with the setup and configuration of audio interfaces, MIDI controllers, microphones, and other related hardware.
- Troubleshoot plugin issues (VST, AU, AAX) and help users integrate third-party instruments and effects.
- Guide customers through optimizing their operating system settings for audio production.
- Document all support interactions, resolutions, and relevant technical information accurately.
- Create and update knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.
- Stay current with the latest updates and advancements in DAW software and audio technology.
- Educate customers on best practices for efficient music production workflows and data management.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with at least two major Digital Audio Workstations (e.g., Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio).
- Strong understanding of audio hardware principles, including interfaces, microphones, and MIDI devices.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues methodically.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach with a friendly and patient demeanor.
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems, particularly concerning audio drivers and settings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Avid Pro Tools User, Apple Logic Pro User).
- Experience working in a professional music studio or audio post-production environment.
- Previous experience in a technical support role, especially with creative software.
- Familiarity with networked audio solutions and collaborative production tools.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) and ticketing systems.
