Job Description
Join our dynamic team at DHL Supply Chain as an Electronics Packer in our state-of-the-art, high-tech warehouse in Elk Grove Village, IL. This role is crucial for ensuring the careful and accurate packaging of sensitive electronic components and finished goods. We are looking for individuals who are meticulous, reliable, and committed to maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will be responsible for preparing items for shipment, adhering to strict quality control standards, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. This is an on-site position in a climate-controlled facility designed for precision handling of electronics.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and label electronic components and finished products according to order specifications.
- Operate various packaging equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform quality checks on all items to ensure they meet standards before packaging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the packing area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory and order status.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, especially with electronics.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience with RF scanners or similar technology.
