Job Description

Kaiser Permanente in Roseville, California, is seeking dedicated Entry Level Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our night shift team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake, and output, reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff promptly.
- Help patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, including changing linens and tidying rooms.
- Respond to patient call lights and requests in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Document care provided accurately and efficiently in electronic health records.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals with various patient care tasks as directed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
Required Skills
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and commitment to working night shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a volunteer or observation role within a healthcare setting.
- Fluency in additional languages spoken in the local community.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
