Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Event Transportation Lead to join our dynamic team. This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of multi-car transportation logistics for various events, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of personnel, VIPs, and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics, team leadership, and a keen eye for detail, capable of coordinating complex schedules and managing a fleet of vehicles and drivers. You will be responsible for planning routes, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with all regulations, and acting as the primary point of contact for transportation operations during events.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive transportation plans for various event scales, focusing on multi-car coordination.
- Oversee the scheduling, deployment, and maintenance of a diverse vehicle fleet.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and service standards.
- Create efficient routes and timelines, adapting to real-time changes and unforeseen challenges.
- Manage transportation budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including licensing and permits.
- Liaise with event organizers, venue staff, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of transportation services.
- Implement and maintain robust communication systems for drivers and operational staff during events.
- Conduct pre-event site visits and post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or transportation management, preferably within the event industry.
- Proven experience in coordinating multi-vehicle operations and managing a team of drivers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Event Management, or a related field.
- Experience with large-scale corporate events, conferences, or entertainment productions.
- Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Familiarity with local Victorville and Southern California transportation networks.
