Job Description
We are urgently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Dockhand at our fast-paced Seattle hub. As a Dockhand, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of packages through our facility. This physically demanding role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from trailers and conveyor belts manually and using material handling equipment.
- Sort packages by destination, ensuring accurate placement onto outbound trailers.
- Scan packages using handheld devices to maintain inventory and tracking accuracy.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment as required (training provided if necessary).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as needed.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift, and twist for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, dock, or similar physical labor role.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, forklift).
