Job Description

Join the UPS team as a Local Sort Associate in our fast-paced New Port Richey hub! We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to help us sort and process packages efficiently. This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required – full training will be provided to ensure your success. Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently sort packages by destination, weight, and size according to UPS guidelines.
  • Load and unload packages from trucks and conveyor belts.
  • Scan packages using handheld devices to ensure accurate tracking.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily operational goals.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 pounds (with assistance if needed).
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and twisting for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Basic communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or physically demanding role is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with package scanning equipment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
