Job Description

This role is crucial to our operations, involving the safe and efficient transportation of trailers between UPS facilities, ensuring packages reach their destinations on time. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations safely and efficiently between UPS facilities.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, documenting any defects.
  • Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and delivery logs as required.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
  • Ensure timely and secure transportation of goods.
  • Actively participate in the paid CDL training program and successfully pass all requirements.

Required Skills

  • Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Eligibility as a current UPS employee.
  • Willingness to commit to a multi-year employment agreement post-CDL acquisition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience operating commercial vehicles (non-CDL roles).
  • Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic within UPS.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks.
