Job Description

This role is crucial to our operations, involving the safe and efficient transportation of trailers between UPS facilities, ensuring packages reach their destinations on time. Key Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailer combinations safely and efficiently between UPS facilities.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, documenting any defects.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and delivery logs as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
- Ensure timely and secure transportation of goods.
- Actively participate in the paid CDL training program and successfully pass all requirements.
Required Skills
- Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Eligibility as a current UPS employee.
- Willingness to commit to a multi-year employment agreement post-CDL acquisition.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience operating commercial vehicles (non-CDL roles).
- Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic within UPS.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks.
