Job Description
Join our dynamic team at Bakkavor as a Fresh Produce Packer in our state-of-the-art clean factory setting in Sunderland. This role is perfect for individuals who are meticulous, reliable, and keen to contribute to the production of high-quality fresh food products. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our produce meets strict quality and hygiene standards before reaching our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pack fresh produce into designated packaging according to company standards and client specifications.
- Inspect produce for quality, freshness, and defects, removing any items that do not meet standards.
- Ensure all packed products are correctly labeled and prepared for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Operate basic packing machinery safely and efficiently after appropriate training.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced factory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good manual dexterity and physical stamina for standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food production or packing environment (advantageous but not essential).
