Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Gated Community Security Guard for a full-time, on-site position in San Antonio, TX. This is primarily a sit-down role focused on monitoring access, ensuring resident safety, and maintaining a welcoming yet secure environment. The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, and possess excellent observational skills to contribute to our friendly community atmosphere while upholding stringent security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access points for residents, guests, and vendors entering and exiting the community.
- Verify identification and issue visitor passes in accordance with community policies.
- Conduct regular, light patrols of the community premises (vehicle or foot, as required, but primary role is sit-down observation).
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, and emergencies as per established protocols.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, and visitor records.
- Provide a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activities and ensure compliance with community rules.
- Assist residents and visitors with directions and general inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Enforce community rules and regulations to maintain order and safety.
- Collaborate with community management and local law enforcement when necessary.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong observational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in various situations.
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and reporting.
- Possession of a valid Texas Security Guard License (Level II or III).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a gated community or residential security role.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Demonstrated customer service experience.
- Experience with security software and CCTV systems.
