Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Google Account Auditor with a strong focus on accuracy and finance to join our remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and compliance of our clients’ Google advertising and cloud accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough audits, identifying discrepancies, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and Google’s policies, and providing actionable recommendations. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within Greater Manchester, focusing on Salford as your primary locale for company administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive audits of Google Ads campaigns, Google Analytics implementations, and Google Cloud Platform billing to ensure accuracy and financial compliance.
  • Analyze financial data related to Google accounts to identify cost inefficiencies, billing errors, and potential overspending.
  • Verify adherence to industry best practices, internal company policies, and Google's terms of service for all audited accounts.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, and actionable recommendations for optimization and remediation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., finance, marketing, legal) and external stakeholders to clarify findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay updated on Google's evolving platform features, policies, and industry regulations affecting digital advertising and cloud services.
  • Develop and refine audit methodologies and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the auditing process.
  • Provide expert guidance and training on Google account best practices and compliance requirements.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in financial auditing or digital account auditing, specifically with Google platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Cloud Platform billing structures.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with an ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and critical insights from large datasets.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex audit findings clearly and concisely.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Google Ads or Google Analytics certifications.
  • Experience with SQL or other data querying languages.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and accounting software.
  • Previous experience working for a consulting firm or in a client-facing audit role.
