Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Google YouTube Metadata Clerk with a strong focus on uploading and tagging to join our dynamic content management team. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy, discoverability, and optimal performance of video content across various YouTube channels. You will be responsible for meticulously applying metadata, managing uploads, and optimizing tags to enhance viewer engagement and search engine optimization. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of YouTube’s platform features, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the precise uploading of video content to designated YouTube channels, ensuring adherence to client guidelines and platform best practices.
  • Rigorously apply and optimize metadata, including titles, descriptions, and thumbnails, to maximize content visibility and audience engagement.
  • Develop and implement effective tagging strategies to improve searchability and discoverability of videos on YouTube.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on all uploaded content and associated metadata to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor content performance metrics and provide insights for metadata and tagging improvements.
  • Collaborate with content creators, producers, and marketing teams to understand content objectives and tailor metadata strategies accordingly.
  • Stay updated on YouTube's platform changes, algorithm updates, and metadata best practices to ensure continuous optimization.
  • Maintain organized records of uploaded content and metadata configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to video uploads or metadata application.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with the YouTube Studio platform and content management systems.
  • Strong understanding of YouTube's metadata best practices and SEO principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Basic video editing or graphic design skills for thumbnail creation/optimization (a plus but not required).
  • Familiarity with digital content rights management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 1+ year of experience managing content on large-scale YouTube channels.
  • Experience with data analysis tools to track content performance.
  • Knowledge of various content management systems (CMS).
