Job Description

DoorDash is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our High School Delivery Crew in Brooklyn, focusing on bike and scooter deliveries. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain work experience, stay active, and be an integral part of connecting your community with their favorite local restaurants and stores. You’ll use your own bike or scooter to pick up orders and deliver them efficiently and courteously to customers within designated zones. We value punctuality, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safe delivery practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Navigate Brooklyn streets safely and efficiently using a bike or scooter.
- Pick up food and other items from local merchants.
- Deliver orders to customers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with merchants and customers.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status if needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Manage delivery routes and schedules effectively.
Required Skills
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Access to a reliable bike or scooter and smartphone.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and mapping applications.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Familiarity with Brooklyn streets and neighborhoods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., carrying a delivery bag).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with delivery services or customer-facing roles is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for active work and exploring the city.
- Currently enrolled high school student or recent graduate.
