Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for your first step into the bustling world of hospitality? Maggiano’s Little Italy in Naperville is seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as a Greet & Seat Host. This entry-level position is perfect for those who love interacting with people, have a positive attitude, and are eager to learn the ropes of a high-volume restaurant environment. You will be the first impression for our guests, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and organized dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and thank them genuinely upon departure.
- Efficiently manage the reservation system and walk-in guest flow.
- Accurately quote wait times and manage guest expectations.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction with seating.
- Assist with menu presentation and answer basic questions about the restaurant.
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area.
- Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor issues with professionalism.
- Assist in clearing and resetting tables as needed during peak hours.
