Job Description
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Team Drivers to join our specialized High-Value Electronics Hauling division. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and secure transportation of sensitive electronic equipment across designated routes. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to security protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a two-person driving team to ensure continuous coverage and timely delivery. You will operate state-of-the-art equipment and represent XPO Logistics with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a team driving environment, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Safely transport high-value electronics, ensuring proper securement and environmental control.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving activities, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team partner, and customers.
- Adhere to strict security protocols for high-value cargo, including monitoring and reporting.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on vehicles as needed.
- Ensure timely delivery of cargo while maintaining safety standards.
- Represent XPO Logistics professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable team driving experience.
- Proven experience with high-value or specialized cargo transportation.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass all DOT physical and drug screen requirements.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and compliance.
- Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Experience with securement techniques for sensitive freight.
Preferred Qualifications
- HazMat endorsement (HM)
- Tanker endorsement (N)
- Experience with GPS and route optimization software.
- Advanced defensive driving certifications.
