Job Description
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Team Driving professionals to join XPO Logistics as High-Value Electronics Haulers. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the secure and timely transportation of sensitive and high-value electronic equipment across designated routes. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to security protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a two-person team. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner, adhering to all federal, state, and company regulations.
- Execute team driving schedules to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines for high-value electronics.
- Ensure the secure loading, unloading, and transportation of sensitive electronic equipment, utilizing specialized securing techniques.
- Adhere strictly to all security protocols, including tamper-proofing, chain of custody procedures, and communication guidelines.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, documenting any issues and ensuring vehicle maintenance.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and all required paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team partners, and customers regarding shipment status and potential delays.
- Represent XPO Logistics professionally at all times.
- Be prepared for overnight travel and extended periods away from home, as typical for team driving routes.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR preferred).
- Proven experience in team driving operations.
- Clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background checks.
- Strong understanding and adherence to DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High level of personal integrity and commitment to security.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience hauling high-value or sensitive freight (e.g., electronics, pharmaceuticals, aerospace components).
- Hazmat endorsement.
- TWIC card.
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation management systems.
- Advanced defensive driving certification.
