Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Holistic Nurse Practitioner to join our Integrative Health Center in Naperville, IL. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care, integrating conventional medical practices with a wide range of holistic modalities. This role involves assessing patients, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patients in achieving their health goals. Our approach emphasizes prevention, education, and empowering patients to take an active role in their healing journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough holistic health assessments, including physical, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate conventional medical care with complementary therapies (e.g., nutrition, stress management, mind-body practices, botanical medicine).
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests relevant to holistic health assessment and treatment planning.
- Provide patient education on lifestyle modifications, self-care strategies, and the benefits of integrative therapies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, dietitians, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic health records.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in holistic and integrative medicine.
- Advocate for patients and empower them to make informed decisions about their health.
Required Skills
- Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Current active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Illinois.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, ANP, WHNP, PNP).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to holistic and integrative health principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Holistic Nursing (e.g., HNB-BC) or Integrative Health.
- Experience with functional medicine principles and protocols.
- Background in nutritional counseling, stress reduction techniques, or other complementary therapies.
- Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice (MSN/DNP) degree.
