Job Description
Are you a compassionate individual looking to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life? Comfort Keepers in Wesley Chapel, FL, is seeking dedicated Home Caregivers. This part-time role is perfectly suited for retirees seeking purpose-driven work or stay-at-home parents looking for flexible hours that fit their family’s schedule. You’ll provide essential non-medical support, companionship, and assistance with daily activities, helping our clients maintain their independence and quality of life at home. No prior professional caregiving experience is required; we value life experience, empathy, and a nurturing spirit above all else. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident and prepared.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engaging conversation to clients.
- Assist clients with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Aid with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing (if required and comfortable).
- Offer medication reminders and appointment assistance.
- Escort clients to appointments, social outings, or errands.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to the care coordinator.
Required Skills
- Genuine compassion and empathy for seniors and those needing care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to individual client needs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience caring for a family member or friend.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (training can be provided).
