Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to join our team in a low-stress clinical environment. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about providing personalized care in a home setting, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist, assisting patients with daily living activities and supporting their recovery and independence. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Help patients with safe transfers and ambulation, using assistive devices as needed.
- Provide light housekeeping tasks essential to patient's health and comfort.
- Monitor and report changes in patient's condition to the supervising nurse or therapist.
- Assist with prescribed exercises as instructed by a therapist.
- Take and record vital signs as directed.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document care provided accurately and timely.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program
- Valid HHA certification in Florida
- Current CPR certification (BLS preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients safely
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months of experience as a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Basic computer skills for electronic documentation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus
