Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shopify Expert with a deep focus on scaling high-volume e-commerce stores. This role requires an individual who can architect, implement, and optimize complex Shopify solutions, ensuring peak performance, scalability, and an exceptional user experience. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver cutting-edge solutions that drive growth and conversion for our premium clients. Your expertise will be critical in managing large-scale migrations, optimizing site speed, integrating third-party systems, and implementing custom features to support our clients’ ambitious goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development and implementation of advanced Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, with a focus on high-volume traffic and transactions.
- Architect scalable and maintainable solutions using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Optimize store performance for speed, SEO, and conversion rate, implementing best practices for image optimization, code minification, and caching.
- Integrate complex third-party applications, APIs, and custom services (e.g., ERPs, CRMs, marketing automation, payment gateways).
- Conduct technical audits, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide expert recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and marketing specialists to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide expert guidance and consultation to clients on Shopify capabilities, limitations, and strategic growth opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Shopify's evolving platform, new features, and e-commerce industry trends.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience as a Shopify Developer or Expert, with a proven track record of working on high-volume Shopify or Shopify Plus stores.
- Expert-level proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Sass), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Strong understanding of Shopify's API (Storefront API, Admin API) and experience with custom app development or extensive app integration.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize website performance (page load speed, Core Web Vitals) for large-scale e-commerce sites.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Proficiency in responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with headless commerce architectures (e.g., using Shopify as a backend with React/Next.js storefront).
- Shopify Plus Partner or Developer Certification.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for e-commerce deployments.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager).
- Prior agency experience working with multiple clients simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
