Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Remote Data Expert to join our innovative team at FedEx. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data collection systems and data analytics strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities related to data management and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data insights into various business functions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data processes and analyses.
Required Skills
- Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Data Expert.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (Python, R, ETL frameworks).
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.).
- Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of machine learning principles and applications.
- Experience in the logistics or e-commerce industry.
