Job Description
Join Intermountain Healthcare as a Hospital Sitter, a crucial yet low-stress role focused on providing comfort and safety through patient observation. You will observe patients at risk of falls, confusion, or other safety concerns, ensuring their well-being and alerting nursing staff as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Provide continuous, direct observation of assigned patients to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Maintain a calm and reassuring presence at the patient's bedside.
- Immediately report any changes in patient condition, behavior, or safety concerns to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with non-medical needs such as calling for a nurse, adjusting bedding, or retrieving personal items.
- Document observations accurately and timely as per hospital protocols.
- Adhere to all patient privacy and confidentiality guidelines (HIPAA).
- Engage with patients in a supportive and respectful manner, promoting a comfortable environment.
