Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hotel Porter to join our vibrant team at Hilton Garden Inn Aberdeen City Centre. This role is crucial to ensuring our guests have a seamless and positive experience from the moment they arrive. You will be responsible for assisting guests with their luggage, providing information, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the lobby and public areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, both on arrival and departure.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, providing information about hotel facilities and services.
  • Assist with the delivery of items to guest rooms, such as extra towels, amenities, or room service.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming lobby area, including entrance and public spaces.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests efficiently and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Provide accurate information about local attractions, dining, and transportation options.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms or event spaces as required.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks or report larger issues to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure the security of guest belongings and hotel property.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, safety standards, and service protocols.

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift and carry luggage and other items.
