Job Description
Are you passionate about providing outstanding service and creating a welcoming atmosphere? Malmaison Dundee is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Hotel Porter to join our vibrant team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, ensuring their arrival and departure are seamless and pleasant. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and assist guests with their luggage upon arrival and departure.
- Escort guests to their rooms and provide information about hotel facilities and services.
- Assist with the delivery and collection of guest items, including laundry, mail, and room service.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby, entrance, and other public areas.
- Provide accurate information about local attractions, dining, and transportation.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Support other hotel departments as needed, ensuring smooth operations.
- Adhere to all safety and security procedures of the hotel.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage (up to 20kg).
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and attentive to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality role.
- Knowledge of the local Dundee area and attractions.
- Valid UK driving license (desirable for occasional errands).
- Proficiency in additional languages.
