Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled IKEA Kitchen Door Fitter to join our dedicated installation team in Garden Grove, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise fitting and final finishing of IKEA kitchen doors and cabinet fronts, ensuring a high-quality, seamless, and aesthetically pleasing result. This position demands attention to detail, a strong understanding of cabinetry installation, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. You will work on various residential projects, transforming spaces with expertly installed kitchen components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately measure, cut, and install IKEA kitchen doors, drawer fronts, and cabinet panels according to design specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Perform precise adjustments to hinges, glides, and mounting hardware to ensure perfect alignment and smooth operation of all components.
  • Execute final finishing touches, including caulking, trim work, and hardware installation, to achieve a professional and polished appearance.
  • Inspect finished installations for quality, functionality, and aesthetic appeal, addressing any imperfections promptly.
  • Safely use a variety of hand and power tools common to carpentry and cabinet installation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring minimal disruption to the client's home.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project managers regarding project status, timelines, and any potential issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards during the installation process.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen cabinet or furniture installation.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for carpentry and installation.
  • Strong understanding of measurements and angles, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret design plans, blueprints, and installation manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Physical stamina to lift and maneuver heavy cabinet components.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically with IKEA kitchen systems (SEKTION, AKURUM, etc.).
  • Certification in carpentry or a related trade.
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Ability to speak Spanish in addition to English.
