Job Description

HomeServe is seeking a highly skilled and efficient IKEA Wardrobe Hinge Fitter to join our network of specialist contractors in Stoke-on-Trent. This role focuses on quick, precise, and expert installation and adjustment of IKEA wardrobe hinges, ensuring perfect alignment and functionality for our clients. You will be responsible for providing top-tier service, completing tasks promptly, and upholding HomeServe’s reputation for excellence in home services. Ideal candidates will have a keen eye for detail, extensive experience with IKEA furniture systems, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately install, adjust, and repair IKEA wardrobe hinges according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnose and resolve common hinge-related issues (e.g., misalignment, squeaking, loose doors).
  • Ensure all wardrobe doors operate smoothly and are perfectly aligned post-installation.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to prevent damage to furniture or property.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to clients, explaining work completed as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after each task.
  • Manage time effectively to complete specialist tasks within agreed schedules.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in IKEA wardrobe assembly and hinge fitting.
  • Strong understanding of various IKEA wardrobe systems (e.g., PAX, PLATSA).
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools relevant to furniture assembly.

Preferred Qualifications
