Job Description

Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Keywords Studios is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Immediate Hire Playtesters. In this role, you will be on the front lines of game development, playing unreleased games across various platforms to identify bugs, provide feedback, and help us deliver exceptional gaming experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to get their start in the gaming industry. You will receive comprehensive orientation to prepare you for success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases and identify, record, and track software defects (bugs) in unreleased video games.
  • Provide clear, concise, and objective feedback on gameplay, usability, and overall player experience.
  • Collaborate with development teams and quality assurance leads to ensure high-quality game releases.
  • Follow test plans meticulously and report findings accurately using bug tracking software.
  • Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure stability across game builds.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all projects and intellectual property.

Required Skills

  • Strong passion for video games and a broad knowledge of gaming genres and platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify subtle discrepancies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with various operating systems and software.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Familiarity with different game consoles, PC gaming, and mobile gaming platforms.
  • Understanding of basic quality assurance methodologies.
