Job Description
BayCare Health System is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate International Nurse Trainees to join our growing team in New Port Richey, Florida. This unique opportunity offers comprehensive visa sponsorship (H-1B or EB-3) for qualified candidates eager to start or advance their nursing careers in the United States. As an International Nurse Trainee, you will undergo a structured orientation and training program designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet US healthcare standards and prepare for licensure exams (if applicable). You will work under the guidance of experienced nursing professionals, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a supportive and state-of-the-art clinical environment. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a structured orientation and training program designed to prepare for a registered nurse role in the US healthcare system.
- Learn and apply US nursing standards, protocols, and best practices under supervision.
- Assist registered nurses with patient care activities, including vital sign monitoring, documentation, and basic patient hygiene.
- Observe and assist with medication administration, wound care, and other treatments as permitted by training level and local regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and compassionate care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records according to BayCare policies and US regulatory requirements.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program outside the U.S.
- Demonstrated English language proficiency (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL scores as per USCIS requirements for healthcare professionals).
- Strong commitment to patient care and professional development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to a new cultural and professional environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic health records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior nursing experience in a clinical setting (post-graduation).
