Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitorial Aide to provide essential office support for our Orlando operations. This evening position is crucial for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for our employees and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming office areas, hallways, and common spaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
- Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash in designated receptacles.
- Clean and polish fixtures, mirrors, and windows.
- Maintain cleanliness of break rooms and kitchenettes, including wiping down surfaces and cleaning appliances.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to supervisor.
- Operate basic cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, stooping, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability and punctuality for evening shifts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning.
- Ability to operate floor buffers or other specialized cleaning equipment.
