Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and energetic Juice Pressing Plant Laborer to join our Westmount production facility. This active role involves hands-on participation in various stages of the juice production process, from fruit preparation to bottling and packaging. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our plant while maintaining the highest standards of quality and food safety. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor juice pressing and processing machinery safely and efficiently.
- Prepare raw fruits and vegetables for processing, including washing, sorting, and loading.
- Assist with the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, machinery, and work areas to meet strict hygiene standards.
- Perform quality control checks on products throughout the production cycle.
- Package finished products, ensuring proper labeling and sealing.
- Load and unload materials and products, potentially using pallet jacks or forklifts (training provided if needed).
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP).
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and repetitive motions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or plant environment.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP).
- Forklift operator certification is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
